Zelensky: Summit results to be handed over to Russia, then we see whether it ready to end war

The results of the Peace Summit will be handed over by representatives of the Russian Federation, and we will see whether they are ready to end the war.

This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a press conference in Switzerland, answering the question of whether he was ready to talk to the Russians and under what conditions he could start negotiations, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Head of State believes that the Peace Summit is the right process on the way to ending the war.

"A Peace Summit, and then the development of an appropriate detailed plan, ... after that, this agreed plan will be handed over to the representatives of the Russian Federation, and then we will see if they are ready for the end of the war. These are the conditions for dialogue with the occupiers," Zelensky said.

As reported, the first Peace Summit was taking place in the Swiss resort of Burgenstock on June 15-16. It discusses nuclear security, food security, and the humanitarian dimension - the exchange of prisoners and the return of abducted Ukrainian children. The results of the summit will be handed over to Russia.

In a joint communiqué, the participants of the Peace Summit stressed the inadmissibility of the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine, the inadmissibility of using food security as a weapon and stated the need for a full exchange of prisoners of war.
