Ukrainian forces repel Russian assault in Siversk sector

The Ukrainian defense forces have repelled a Russian assault in the Siversk sector, destroying two enemy armored vehicles and infantry.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that a Russian armored group, with the support of one tank and two infantry fighting vehicles, was moving toward Ukrainian positions. Anti-tank gunners from the SBGS’s Pomsta (Revenge) Brigade destroyed two enemy infantry fighting vehicles with a Corsar ATGM, while a unit of the Armed Forces shot down the Russian tank.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Defense Forces, the enemy attack was repelled. Seven occupiers were eliminated, one was seriously wounded, the SBGS said.

As reported, over the past day, the Russian army lost nearly 1,170 troops killed or wounded in action.
