Biden administration to speed up air defense missile deliveries to Ukraine - WSJ

U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration is planning to announce the acceleration of air defense missile deliveries to Ukraine by suspending orders for other countries.

The Wall Street Journal reported this on Thursday, citing an official from the US administration, Ukrinform reports.

“The Biden administration will rush the delivery of air-defense interceptors to Ukraine by halting delivery to allied nations,” the publication cited a U.S. official.

As noted, the White House plans to announce its decision later today.

As reported, U.S. President Joe Biden spoke about the possibility of this step last week at the G7 meeting in Italy. In particular, he noted that countries expecting air defense systems from the United States in the future will "have to wait."
