Zelensky and Tusk remove last obstacle to F-16 transfer - Nykyforov

President Volodymyr Zelensky's negotiations with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk have removed the last obstacle to the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Presidential spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov said this on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.

“On the sidelines of the European Political Community summit, negotiations were held with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, which allowed us to remove the last obstacle so that F-16s could finally get to Ukraine. We also see this as a big positive,” Nykyforov said.

According to him, on July 18, the President gave an interview in which he said that the planes were not yet in Ukraine.

“But I hope that after the talks with Donald Tusk, this situation will change quickly,” the spokesman emphasized.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, after talks in the UK with Donald Tusk, Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Polish government had made a positive decision on the issue that would allow Ukraine to receive F-16 fighters as soon as possible.
