Russia reports massive drone attack on Briansk region
Russian authorities have reported a massive attack by allegedly Ukrainian UAVs.
According to Ukrinform, the Russian Ministry of Defence and the governor of the Bryansk region of Russia, Alexander Bogomaz, announced the attack in a Telegram message.
"On 26 July, between 21:00 and 23:40, during an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles against targets in the Russian Federation, twenty-one UAVs were destroyed and intercepted by regular air defence systems over the territory of the Briansk region," the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
"Several municipal districts of the region were subjected to a massive attack... all air targets were intercepted and destroyed. Within an hour, the Russian Ministry of Defence units destroyed twelve more aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles. Six UAVs were shot down over Vygonitsky district, three drones were shot down over the territory of Trubchevsky district, and one over Karachevsky, Brassovsky and Bryansk districts. There were no casualties or damage," the governor said.
As Ukrinform previously reported, drones of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine struck the Tuapse oil refinery in Krasnodar Krai.
