Killed two AFU soldiers, burned pickup truck: SSU announces suspicion to traitor who sided with Russians

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has served a notice of suspicion to a traitor who voluntarily surrendered during the fighting, went over to the Russian side and is now fighting against Ukraine in the Pokrovsk sector.

This was reported in Telegram by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Ukrinform reports.

“The Security Service has collected evidence of treason by a resident of Kyiv region, who, under martial law, went over to the enemy during a full-scale invasion. The investigation found that the 33-year-old former rifleman of one of the airborne assault brigades voluntarily surrendered during the fighting near Torsk in Donetsk region,” the statement said.

It is noted that in 2023, this man joined the “Maxim Krivonos detachment” of the Russian Volunteer Corps of the Russian Armed Forces. The unit was formed to conduct subversive activities against Ukraine and is staffed by prisoners of war and law enforcement officers who defected to the enemy.

The group is currently engaged in hostilities against the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk sector.

The SSU clarified that in his interviews with Russian media, this traitor said that he had killed two Ukrainian soldiers and burned a pickup truck.

SSU investigators served the suspect a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported, the suspicion was served to propagandist Victoria Tereshchenko, who headed the occupation TV channel in Mariupol, which was captured by the Russian army.
