More than 44,600 criminal proceedings opened over crimes committed by Russian army
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, police officers have opened more than 44,600 criminal proceedings over the facts of crimes committed by Russia’s military and their accomplices on the territory of Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Interior Ministry’s press service on Telegram.
In particular, Ukrainian law enforcers registered 33,367 cases related to violations of the laws and customs of war, 9,067 - encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, 2,046 - collaborative activities.
In addition, 97 were instituted over high treason and 37 cases over sabotage.
In the liberated territories, law enforcers found 47 places where the Russians had illegally detained and tortured Ukrainian citizens.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian troops on November 19 struck ten settlements in Donetsk region, wounding civilians, including a child.
