Civilian injured in enemy shelling in Maryinka

In the frontline town of Maryinka, Donetsk region, a local civilian sustained shrapnel wounds after an unidentified object exploded amid an enemy shelling of the town by Russian occupation forces.

That’s according to a statement by Donetsk region’s Police Department of July 23, Ukrinform reports.

Law enforcers said a local mal resident, 52, was admitted to a hospital “with shrapnel wounds to various parts of the body.”

Police found that the civilian had been injured today, July 23, at 06:45 in his own backyard in the town of Maryinka.

According to preliminary reports, he was injured as a result of the explosion of an unidentified object amid the enemy shelling.

Law enforcers are currently investigating the circumstances of the incident.

In fact, criminal proceedings were launched under Part 1 Article 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
