Denmark gives EUR1B for Ukraine recovery
The Danish government has launched a new support program for Ukraine for 2023.
This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, during a briefing in Odesa, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
The program's main goal is the reconstruction of Ukraine. A special place in the project will be dedicated to Mykolaiv’s recovery, said Rasmussen.
He stressed that he condemned the recent Russian missile attacks on Mykolaiv, adding that they only reinforce Denmark's determination to help Ukraine.
Success can be achieved only in partnership, as was achieved in the case of the Baltic states, the top diplomat stressed, noting that Ukraine reminds others that freedom is not given for granted but must be fought for.
Denmark will stand with Ukraine for as long as the country fights, added Rasmussen.
The briefing was attended by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkevičs, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland Thordis Kolbrun Reikfjord, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielus Landsbergis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt, Minister of Foreign Affairs Affairs of Sweden, Tobias Bilström, and Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Kai Sauer.
As reported, the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities of the Kingdom of Denmark concluded an agreement expanding the energy partnership in the field of wind generation.
