Key U.S. ministers to visit Kyiv by year-end – Deputy PM Stefanishyna

The heads of key U.S. ministries will visit Ukraine by the end of the year to implement agreements in the fields of energy, climate, and economy.

Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna said this on the air of Savik Shuster's Freedom of Speech TV program on Friday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A structural dialogue is being initiated. Key U.S. ministers will visit Kyiv by the end of the year to implement agreements on energy, climate, economy, and commercial cooperation in accordance with agreements for USD 3 billion," Stefanishyna said.

According to her, the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky to the United States had restarted relations between the two countries.

The Deputy PM also stressed that the United States recognized Ukraine as a key ally in Eastern Europe in terms of security and stabilization of democratic transformations in the post-Soviet countries.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is on a working visit to Washington. He met with U.S. President Joe Biden on Wednesday, September 1. Zelensky's visit to the U.S. is to end on Sunday, September 5.
