Borrell, Kuleba discuss expansion of sanctions pressure on Russia
EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba in a phone call on Sunday, May 29, discussed further EU sanctions against Russia.
According to Ukrinform, Borrell said this on Twitter.
"Called Dmytro Kuleba ahead of the European Council meeting. EU continues facilitating delivery of military assistance. Agreed on urgency to advance on sanctions," Borrell wrote.
He also added that the leaders of the EU countries at the summit will "raise how to support export of agricultural products from Ukraine and impact of Russian aggression on global food security."
According to British intelligence, Russia is prepared to leverage global food security for its own political aim and then present itself as the reasonable actor and blame the West for any failure.
