Zelensky, Rutte coordinate steps to counter Russia, help Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the increase in sanctions pressure on Russia, security and macro-financial assistance to Ukraine with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.

“I had a productive conversation with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte. We coordinated steps to counter Russia, increase sanction pressure on the aggressor, security & macro-financial aid to Ukraine. We also discussed cooperation in promoting Ukraine’s initiatives within the UN. We enjoy Netherlands’s firm support,” Zelensky posted on Twitter.

As reported, since the beginning of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Kingdom of the Netherlands has become a refuge for almost 50,000 Ukrainians who left their homes to escape Russian military aggression.
