Shmyhal thanks Poland for readiness to amend legislation to seize Russian assets

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has met with his Polish counterpart, Mateusz Morawiecki, and thanked him for his willingness to amend Polish legislation to seize Russian assets.

Shmyhal said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"During the Recovery of Ukraine conference met with Mateusz Morawiecki. Thanked Poland & PM for their willingness to initiate amendments to the legislation on confiscation of Russian assets," Shmyhal wrote.

He added that the funds should be used for restoration and compensation of the damage caused by the aggressor.

The International Expert Conference on the Recovery, Reconstruction and Modernization of Ukraine was held in Berlin under the auspices of the German G7 Presidency and the European Commission, which attracted the best specialists from around the world. These experts discussed the strategy of the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, which will become the basis for specific programs for the reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine with the participation of the international community.
