Biden to Zelensky: Much to discuss

U.S. President Joe Biden has said he hopes that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is having a good flight.

According to Ukrinform, he said this on Twitter.

"I hope you're having a good flight, Volodymyr. I'm thrilled to have you here. Much to discuss," Biden wrote.

Ukrinform reported earlier that Biden would welcome Zelensky at the White House on December 21 at 21:00 Kyiv time.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that during Zelensky's visit to the United States, President Biden would announce a significant new package of security assistance to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression.

The White House also confirmed that Patriot air defense systems would be part of a new aid package for Ukraine worth almost $2 billion.
