Under "negotiations," Russia means int’l recognition of its "right to seize foreign territories" - Podolyak
The Russian Federation understands the word "negotiations" as recognition of its alleged "right" to seize foreign territories, which is unacceptable.
This was stated on Twitter by the adviser to the head of the President’s Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, Ukrinform reports.
"Axiom: why will it be impossible to make a deal with RF? RF (Putin) under the word ‘talks’ offers Ukraine & the world to recognize ‘its right to seize foreign territories’ & ‘to fix the absence of legal consequences for mass killings on foreign territory.’ It's fully unacceptable," Podolyak emphasized.
As reported, 60% of citizens in Ukraine stand against any negotiations with Russia – even for the sake of saving lives.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on December 29 that Russia will not negotiate with Ukraine based on the "peace formula" proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
