Zelensky, Macron discuss preparations for NATO summit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron have discussed preparations for the NATO summit that will take place in Vilnius this July.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky said this in a post on Telegram.

In a nearly one-and-a-half-hour call, both presidents also discussed the expected results of the summit, particularly the need for Ukraine to obtain effective security guarantees even before it joins the military alliance.

Moreover, the two leaders paid attention to the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula and discussed the outcome of Macron's recent visit to China.

Zelensky thanked Macron for condemning the execution of a Ukrainian soldier by Russian war criminals and informed him about the situation at the front and further intentions to liberate all Ukrainian territories.

Zelensky also noted Macron's intention to further strengthen support for Ukraine on the battlefield.
