Ukraine's parliament speaker meets with Ukrainian refugees in Norway
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk has met with temporarily displaced Ukrainians in the city of Drammen (Norway).
He announced this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"Drammen, Norway. Ukrainians who were forced to leave Ukraine under the threat of missile attacks and occupation received temporary shelter in this city," he said.
Stefanchuk pointed out that, together with Masud Gharahkhani, the President of the Storting, Monica Myrvold Berg, the mayor of Drammen, and representatives of Blue Cross Norway, a leading volunteer organization, they met with Ukrainian refugees.
He noted that in the eyes of every Ukrainian present at the meeting, he saw gratitude to Norway for providing shelter.
"But I also saw their desire to return to Ukraine as quickly as possible, as well as the strongest faith in our victory," he added.
In this context, Stefanchuk thanked Norway for providing shelter to more than 40,000 Ukrainians.
Stefanchuk is on a working visit to Norway on May 16-17.
