Yermak outlines results of advisers’ meeting in Copenhagen
A meeting of advisers in Copenhagen is a clear signal of respect for Ukraine and fair struggle, support for the territorial integrity and its sovereignty.
Andriy Yermak, the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
He wrote that consultations on the key principles of peace were held in Copenhagen with national security advisers and political advisers from Brazil, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the EU, Italy, India, Canada, Germany, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, and Japan.
"The meeting is a continuation of the dialogue launched at the G7 summit in Hiroshima between the leaders of Ukraine, the G7 countries and the Global South. The Ukrainian delegation includes a team from the Office of the President and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs," said the President’s Office head.
He noted that during the consultations, the Ukrainian delegation told its international partners about the details of President Volodymyr Zelensky's Peace Formula.
"I expressed my conviction that it should become the basis for achieving a stable and just peace for Ukraine, as the war continues on our territory," Yermak stressed.
He reminded that the 10-point Peace Formula is based on the principles of the UN Charter and international law.
In addition, each of the directions of the Ukrainian Peace Formula was enshrined in the resolutions of the UN General Assembly. Yermak noted that the parties once again confirmed their commitment
"During the consultations, I noted that the meeting of advisers in Copenhagen is a clear signal of respect for Ukraine and our just struggle, support for the territorial integrity of our state and sovereignty, which are the fundamental principles of the UN, which we all share. The participation of a significant number of countries of the Global South demonstrates that significant positive changes are taking place in the relations between our countries and a qualitatively new level of mutual relations. I am grateful for the support of our Western allies," Yermak stressed.
He also noted the constructive dialogue and thanked everyone for their support of Ukraine and involvement in world security processes.
As reported by Ukrinform, in November 2022, President Volodymyr Zelensky in his address to the participants of the G20 summit presented the 10-point Ukrainian Peace Formula.
At the G7 summit in Hiroshima, Zelensky proposed holding an international summit dedicated to the Peace Formula in July.
