Stefanchuk discusses energy security, inter-parliamentary relations with Ambassador of Japan

Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori discussed Ukraine's energy security and the consolidation of efforts of the parliaments of the G7 countries to counter Russian aggression.

"Today, during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine Matsuda Kuninori, we discussed the issue of consolidating the efforts of the G7 parliaments, as Japan holds its presidency, to counter the aggression of the Russian Federation. We analyzed the current state of inter-parliamentary cooperation, as well as the issue of Ukraine's energy security ahead of the new heating season," Stefanchuk posted on Facebook.

He also expressed gratitude for Japan's consistent support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

In turn, the Embassy of Japan reported that at the meeting "both sides confirmed their readiness to further strengthen friendship and cooperation."
