Zelensky meets with Riksdag speaker, leaders of political forces
During a visit to Sweden, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with the Speaker of the Riksdag (Parliament) Andreas Norlen and the leaders of the political parties represented in the country's highest legislative body.

The head of state thanked the Swedish lawmakers for their solidarity with Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression and support for all important decisions regarding assistance to the embattled nation.
"We are especially grateful to Sweden for the powerful defense assistance that significantly strengthened Ukraine’s Defense Forces and the protection of the Ukrainian sky. I count on the expansion of cooperation between our countries in this direction," Zelensky said.
During the meeting, particular focus was put on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula. The president thanked the Riksdag for supporting his proposals to establish a lasting and just peace. The head of state noted the importance of Sweden's practical involvement in the implementation of the Formula’s clauses to ensure radiation, nuclear, and environmental safety.
The parties also discussed steps to bring Ukraine closer to the European Union. Zelensky thanked the Riksdag for its strong support on this path during Sweden's presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2023.
The President expressed special gratitude to the Swedish Parliament for its participation in international efforts to de-occupy Crimea.
