Zelensky: Future of Crimean Tatar people in Ukraine

The Crimean Tatar people are Ukrainian citizens, and their future is in Ukraine.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a press conference on the sidelines of the Crimea Platform summit, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The future of the Crimean Tatar people is in Ukraine, they are our citizens, they are the indigenous people of Ukraine, and the relevant law was adopted," said the head of state.

He also expressed hope that after the deoccupation of Crimea, all Crimean Tatars, who have been captured by Russia, will return.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the third International Summit of the Crimea Platform is taking place in Kyiv on Wednesday, dedicated to Ukraine's vision regarding the future of temporarily occupied Crimea and security issues in the Black Sea region.
