NSDC secretary meets with delegation of Denmark’s defense ministry
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov met with the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Denmark, led by the Minister of Defense Troels Lund Poulsen.
That’s according to the NSDC press service, Ukrinform reports.
It is noted that at the meeting with the delegation, Danilov emphasized that the preservation of sovereignty and territorial integrity is the most important goal, and that the Ukrainian people will fight for this with full determination.
"Ukrainians have proven their readiness to fight for their rights and values, and we are grateful to our allies for their help, in particular to Denmark," the NSDC secretary emphasized.
He also emphasized that it is important for Ukraine to regain the status of a maritime state.
"Denmark is a maritime state, and we would like Ukraine to regain this status as well. For us, this is not only a challenge, but also a must for survival," Danilov noted.
As reported, on his part, Troels Lund Poulsen assured Danilov that Denmark will retain unwavering support for Ukraine and will always help Ukrainians in their fight for democracy and freedom.
First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC, Colonel-General Ruslan Khomchak, the head of the NSDC Office Andriy Ziuz, and chiefs of the Council’s departments also took part in the event.
As reported, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov discussed the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine with Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
