Ukraine's PM meets with Slovak counterpart in Uzhhorod

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has met with his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico in Uzhhorod.

Shmyhal announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today in Uzhhorod, we are holding a meeting with the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico. Our bilateral relations and support for European initiatives are on the agenda," Shmyhal wrote.

He expressed hope for a constructive and practical dialogue.

Fico said on January 20 that he opposed Ukraine's accession to NATO.

He promised to bring humanitarian aid to Uzhhorod and reiterated that Slovakia would not help Ukraine with weapons at the state level.

Shmyhal announced that he intended to hold negotiations with his Slovak counterpart to remove possible obstacles on the way to the implementation of the Ukraine Facility program.
