Zelensky: Unity of states at Peace Summit proves that idea of international law is effective
The unity of state leaders at the International Peace Summit proves that the idea of international law remains alive and effective.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“A united world is a world of peace, a world that knows how to do the right thing. I thank everyone who worked for this day – every leader, all the teams and advisors of the leaders, all the countries. Our unity here proves that the very idea of international law remains alive and effective,” Zelensky stressed.
As reported by Ukrinform, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the inaugural Peace Summit had succeeded in bringing together 101 countries and international organizations from all parts of the world and continents.
On June 15, the first Peace Summit kicked off in the Swiss resort of Bürgenstock to discuss nuclear security, food safety and the humanitarian dimension - the exchange of prisoners and the return of abducted Ukrainian children. The final documents of the summit will be presented to the Russian side.
