Speaker of Lithuania's Seimas Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen has delivered an address to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, according to Ukrinform.

Cmilyte-Nielsen said she was convinced that Ukraine must win the war, however, according to her, "victory will come not only in battles with weapons in hands, but also in battles that take place in our hearts and minds."

"There has been a lot of talk about 'red lines.' We have learned in the last two-and-a-half years that these lines are often imposed, and the Kremlin seeks to exploit our fears and hesitations. As in a game of chess, we must choose the right strategy based on clear rules and follow it to the end. We must not hesitate and get distracted, and most importantly, we must not give in to the aggressor's threats," Cmilyte-Nielsen said.

According to her, in practice, this means that Ukraine should receive all necessary military aid on time.

"This support must be provided without any conditions or restrictions. Ukraine has a sovereign right to defend itself in accordance with international law, to repel attacks both from Russia and from the territories occupied by it," she said.

Cmilyte-Nielsen said that Lithuania is doing everything possible to help Ukraine in its war against Russia and added that this support would continue.
