Slovenian president to visit Kyiv next week to sign security agreement with Ukraine

President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar will visit Kyiv on June 27 to sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine.

That’s according to STA, Ukrinform reports.

“President Nataša Pirc Musar has announced that she will visit Kyiv on Thursday to sign a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine,” the report says.

She has noted that it is an agreement of the kind signed with Ukraine by other countries that are willing to help the country.

No other details of the visit were specified.

As Ukrinform reported, EU foreign ministers at a meeting in Luxembourg next Monday will consider the provisions of the EU-Ukraine security agreement, which is "almost finalized," opening the way toward its signing by the end of this month. According to an EU official, the security agreement between Ukraine and the EU could be signed on June 26.
