Yermak and Umerov meet with Turkish Foreign Minister in Ankara
Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov visited Ankara to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to a post by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the social network X.
"In Ankara, our minister Hakan Fidan met with the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov," the statement said.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry did not provide details about the meeting.
According to Andriy Yermak in Telegram, the meeting was about strengthening the strategic partnership.
"We discussed further steps to strengthen our strategic partnership, security and defence. Joint efforts are aimed at achieving peace and stability in our region," he wrote.
As reported by Ukrinform, Rustem Umerov last visited Ankara on 14 May, where he met with Turkish National Defence Minister Yashar Guler. At that time, the talks focused, in particular, on deepening cooperation between the two countries in the defence sector.
Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan said that the world should take the threat of World War III seriously given the growing intensity of conflicts in the world, including the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
