Zelensky presents Meloni with Order of Freedom

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Order of Freedom to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni for a significant personal contribution to strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Italy.

This was reported by the press service of the Presidential Office, Ukrinform reports.

"Volodymyr Zelensky presented the Order of Freedom to Giorgia Meloni for a significant personal contribution to strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Italy, supporting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state," the statement said.

The office notes that this happened during a meeting of the leaders on the sidelines of the NATO summit in Washington.

As reported earlier, the President of Ukraine and the head of the Italian Council of Ministers discussed Ukraine's air defense needs during a meeting in Washington.
