Zelensky meets with Erdoğan in Washington

President Volodymyr Zelensky met with his Turkish colleague Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and announced a conference on food security and freedom of navigation in Turkey as part of the implementation of the Peace Summit decisions.

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky posted this on Facebook.

The Head of State expressed gratitude to the President of Turkey for "his unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine."

Erdoğan, for his part, noted Ukraine's efforts to bring its citizens home. He particularly praised the return of Crimean Tatars and thanked them for their efforts.

Zelensky assured the Turkish leader that the work to return Ukrainian citizens home will continue.

As reported, Zelensky is currently in Washington, where he is taking part in the 75th anniversary NATO summit. There, he met for the first time in a five-party format with the leaders of the Indo-Pacific states.
