Stefanchuk meets with delegation of U.S. Republican think tanks

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk and representatives from U.S. Republican think tanks and conservative organizations discussed Ukraine's defense needs and increased sanctions pressure on Russia.

Stefanchuk reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform saw.

The Parliament speaker thanked the delegation for the consistent and comprehensive assistance from the United States and the entire American people.

He emphasized that "bipartisan and bicameral support in U.S. Congress is an unchanging value for Ukraine. He expressed hope for its preservation in the new composition of the 119th U.S. Congress."

Stefanchuk noted that Ukraine highly appreciates the efforts of Republican think tanks and their advocacy in the matter of supporting the country.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada stressed that Ukraine seeks a just and sustainable peace, and stated the importance of supporting the Peace Formula and the Victory Plan proposed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

In addition, he outlined Ukraine's key defense needs and emphasized the need to strengthen sanctions pressure on Russia, which is a priority in the fight against the invaders.

"Ukraine needs decisive support on the path to victory and peace!" said Stefanchuk.

As Ukrinform reported, Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. State Department Vedant Patel said the current US administration is working around the clock to provide all possible support to Ukraine within its powers.
