Hungary donates another 50 lung ventilators to Ukraine

Hungary has provided 50 lung ventilators worth more than EUR 1 million to Ukraine.

The donation ceremony took place in Berehove town, Zakarpattia region on Tuesday, January 26, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Today, the charity organization Hungarian Ecumenical Aid Service handed over 50 lung ventilators to Ukrainian hospitals fighting coronavirus. This equipment was purchased at the expense of the Hungarian government. It costs over 1 EUR million. In cooperation with the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, this equipment has been transferred today to hospitals in ten Ukrainian regions - from Lviv to Donetsk,” said Chairman of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Anatoliy Poloskov.

As reported, in autumn 2020, the Hungarians also donated over 50 lung ventilators of various classes to Zakarpattia region hospitals treating COVID-19 patients.
