President, First Lady commemorate fallen defenders of Ukraine

On Independence Day, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska honored the memory of the defenders fallen during the Russian-Ukrainian war.

"The presidential couple laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance near the St. Michael's Cathedral in Kyiv," the press service of the Head of State informs.

It is noted that a company of honor guards was lined up and trumpets sounded.

The memory of Ukrainian heroes was honored with a moment of silence.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in a ceremony commemorating the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
