Thanks to United24, more than 4000 residents of Kyiv region can return to their homes

Thanks to the United24 program, more than four thousand residents of the Kyiv region who lost their homes due to Russian military aggression will be able to return home.

Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

"In the Kyiv region, 18 large apartment buildings are being rebuilt under the United24 program launched by the President. The work has already started at seven sites, 11 more are in the queue, and we will start in the near future. More than four thousand residents of the region who lost their homes due to Russian military aggression will be able to return home. And in the very near future," Kravchenko said.

He noted that it is possible to build "better than it was" by using modern materials, modern technologies, improving energy efficiency, taking into account the principle of barrier-free access, and most importantly, transparency and competitiveness of all procedures, specifically, tenders and technical supervision.

According to him, the UNDP primarily supervises these facilities, and supervision is part of the tender procedure.

"We additionally involve third-party technical supervision, in addition to the technical supervision of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration. We install cameras at each site and monitor the work in progress. This is, of course, an additional cost, but it is worth it. My so-called secret agents go to each site to check and report to me on the internal situation at each facility," added the head of Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

As reported, more than 12,000 facilities damaged as a result of Russia's military aggression have already been restored in the Kyiv region.
