Kyiv City Council honors 30 defenders of Ukraine
The Kyiv City Council has awarded 30 soldiers who are defending Ukraine.
This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Today the Kyiv City Council awarded the military who defend the independence and freedom of Ukraine... In total, 30 defenders of Ukraine were awarded by Kyiv," Klitschko wrote.
According to him, Kyiv City Council member Serhiy Ilnytsky, who was recently killed at the front, was posthumously awarded the highest honor of the capital, the Badge of Honor. His son, who is also a soldier, received the award.
In addition, 20 servicemen were awarded the 'Honor. Glory. State' medals, and nine were awarded the 'For Contribution to the Defense of Kyiv' medal. Posthumously, seven servicemen were awarded.
"We thank every soldier, every defender, who are defending our land in difficult battles and returning the territories occupied by the enemy. And we remember our fallen Heroes!" Klitschko wrote.
As reported, Kyiv City Council deputy Serhiy Ilnytsky (call sign 'Sokil') was killed in August in a battle near Kurdyumivka in Donbas.
