Ukraine defeated Morocco in minority at Olympic Games

Ukraine's U23 Olympic team has won its first victory at the 2024 Games football tournament in France.

"The Blue and Yellows beat Morocco 2-1 at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard arena in Saint-Etienne, Ukrinform reports.

Dmytro Kryskiv's goal, which opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, was followed by a penalty kick from Soufiane Rahimi (64). The final result in stoppage time was set by Igor Krasnopir (90+8).

The Ukrainians played the match in the minority - in the 63rd minute, Volodymyr Salyuk received a red card (delaying an opponent).

In the final match of the group stage, Ruslan Rotan's team will meet the Argentine Olympic team on 30 July.

Tournament position in quartet B: Argentina - 3 points, Morocco - 3, Ukraine - 3, Iraq - 3.
