Ukraine Army repels assault on Bilohorivka, forces enemy to retreat near Vuhlehirsk TPP

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

As of 18:00 on July 4, the situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions has not changed significantly. The units of the Belarusian armed forces continue to fortify defensive positions in the border areas.

In the Sivershchyna (northeastern) direction, the enemy shelled the areas of the settlements of Vasylivske, Bilopillia and Atynske in the Sumy region.

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian occupiers continue their artillery shelling of the city of Kharkiv and settlements to the north, northeast and east of the city. The enemy also carried out airstrikes near Petrivka. Ukrainian soldiers harshly stopped the enemy's attempt to storm the village of Sosnivka and pushed the invaders back.

Trying to somehow interfere with the logistical support of the units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the enemy remotely mined the area near Cherkaski Tyshky. A counter-battery fight is going on there.

In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy is attempting to improve the tactical position of its units. Enemy forces fired artillery in the areas of Dolyna, Dibrivne, Bohorodychne, Mazanivka, Sukha Balka, Krasnopillia, Virnopillia, Velyka Komyshuvakha and carried out airstrikes near Dibrivne and Bohorodychne. The enemy is conducting an assault in the direction of the settlement of Mazanivka, with partial success.

In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers are concentrating their main efforts on hitting our units with fire. The enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance using Orlan-10 UAV near Pavlohrad and Pokrovsk.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the aggressor shelled the areas of Bilohorivka and Verkhnokamianske using tanks and howitzers. Russian forces also launched an airstrike near Tetianivka.

Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled the assault on the settlement of Bilohorivka. The occupiers retreated.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy used artillery in the areas of Spirne, Berestove and Vershyna. The enemy also carried out an airstrike near Vershyna.

Ukrainian defenders forced the enemy to retreat after their offensive in the direction of the Vuhlehirsk TPP and an unsuccessful reconnaissance battle in the direction of the outskirts of Berestove.

In the Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia, and Southern Buh directions, the enemy used tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery along the contact line.

In the Black Sea, Russian invaders keep three carriers of high-precision weapons ready to launch missile strikes on targets across Ukraine. They carry up to 20 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles.

Ukrainian defenders inflict losses on the enemy in all directions where active hostilities continue.

"Russian occupiers, in order to somehow justify their destruction of civilian objects on the territory of Ukraine, continue to spread fakes about the location of military units in schools, churches and hospitals. We urge you to trust information only from verified sources and not to spread Russian fakes and disinformation," the report said.
