U.S. attorneys ready to work at war crime sites in Ukraine - Venediktova
That’s according to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova, Ukrinform reports.
The top prosecutor noted that she had talked with U.S. partners about their practical support. She also had a “productive discussion” of the steps to follow with State Department Office for Global Criminal Justice Ambassador-at-Large Beth van Schack and legendary “Nazi Hunter” Eli Rosenbaum with the US Department of Justice.
"The USA is ready to send a group of attorneys to work at the sites of war crimes in Ukraine. The U.S. is forming a group of attorneys who will stand side by side with us on the battlefield for justice. American colleagues will also actively develop support for the Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group, which works with the Prosecutor General's Office," Venediktova reported.
As reported, Ukraine’s chief prosecutor discussed with U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink the efforts to hold the Russian Federation accountable for war crimes committed in Ukraine.
