Zelensky believes in success of counteroffensive: ‘We’re almost ready for it’

He said this at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the Head of State, he believes in the counteroffensive and does not think about "any other things."

"We believe in success, truth is on our side. Support is on our side. We are motivated. And it seems to me that we are almost ready for this success," Zelensky emphasized.

At the same time, he admits that some countries that have not helped Ukraine too much may reduce their defense support if the offensive operations are not successful enough.

"There is a risk that if offensive operations [are] not very successful, support will decrease, but I think this is not the general opinion. There are some states that are probably thinking about it, but they have not been very strong, I think, in providing support to Ukraine," the Head of State said.

As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting Germany on May 14.
