Stefanchuk meets with Duda in Poland - they talking about flight coalition
The speaker of the Ukrainian parliament announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues.
"He said that the No. 1 issue for Ukraine is the continuation and acceleration of military assistance. From Poland and through Poland. I am very grateful for all the defence support provided. Thank you for training our military. Thank you for agreeing to train Ukrainian pilots. We talked about forming a flight coalition. I heard important signals that Poland will continue to unite the international community to support and assist Ukraine," Stefanchuk said.
According to him, the issue of Ukraine's integration into the European Union was also discussed. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada thanked Poland for supporting this path. He noted that the Ukrainian parliament has implemented the recommendations of the European Commission, Ukraine is awaiting an interim assessment and aims to start negotiations on EU membership by the end of the year.
In addition, Stefanchuk said that Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic future was discussed. "At the upcoming NATO Summit in Vilnius, we want to hear the Alliance's common vision of Ukraine's accession modalities," the Ukrainian parliamentarian added.
The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada also said that the issue of rebuilding Ukraine was discussed during the meeting. "A separate agreement on reconstruction has already been signed between our countries. Together, we will rebuild and make Ukraine stronger and more modern," Stefanchuk said.
