Ukraine Navy commander names Russian naval vessels destroyed by Defense Forces

A large amphibious assault ship, as well as Serna- and Raptor-class landing craft, are among 18 enemy warships and boats that the Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed since Russia’s full-scale invasion.

Ukrainian Navy Commander, Vice-Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa said this during the nationwide news telethon on Ukrainian TV channels, Ukrinform reports.

"In total, 18 ships and boats have been destroyed by the Defense Forces. These are not only ships and boats destroyed by the Navy, but also ships destroyed by the Ground Forces and other units. As for the amphibious logistics means - one large landing ship that was destroyed in [the port of] Berdiansk by the Ground Forces, 2 ships were damaged, they are still being repaired, the Navy destroyed 1 Serna-class landing craft and several Raptor-type assault boats, which had been involved in the operations to capture Zmiinyi Island. The rest of the ships are now in ports controlled by the Russian Federation," Neizhpapa said.

As reported by Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi in an interview with Dmytro Komarov as part of the special project "Year. Off-screen. General" stated that Ukraine had a slim chance to sink Russian warship Moskva, and did not lose it. He said the Ukrainian force would destroy the remaining ships of the Russian Navy - Essen, Samum, and others.
