Number of children injured by Russian aggression in Ukraine rises to 1,052
“As of the morning of July 12, 2023, according to the official information provided by juvenile prosecutors, 494 children were killed and more than 1,052 received injuries of various degrees of severity,” the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said in a post on Telegram.
It is noted that these figures are not final, as work is underway in the areas of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Most children were affected in Donetsk region - 472, Kharkiv region - 297, Kyiv region - 129, Kherson region - 116, Zaporizhzhia region – 91, Mykolaiv region - 89, Dnipropetrovsk region – 83, Chernihiv region – 71, and Luhansk region – 67.
On July 11, an 8-year-old girl was injured in Russian attacks on Kherson.
As reported by Ukrinform, five people, including a child, were injured in Russian shelling of Kherson on July 11.
