Ukraine’s Air Force launches 12 strikes on enemy positions, hits three anti-aircraft missile systems

Over the past day, the Air Force of Ukraine carried out 12 strikes on Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters, also hitting three anti-aircraft systems.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Overnight Wednesday, the Russian Federation carried out more missile and air strikes on Ukraine. Reports on the consequences of the terrorist attack are currently being verified,” the report reads.

Over the past day, the Russians launched six Kalibr cruise missiles and 35 Iranian-made Shahed-136 one-way attack drones. All Kalibr missiles and 31 drones were destroyed, it is noted.

The likelihood of missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high, warns the General Staff.

The enemy is focusing its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions where over 20 combat clashes took place over the past day.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of enemy offensive groupings being formed.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on more than 20 settlements, in particular, Seredyna-Buda, Popivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, and Stepne of the Sumy region, as well as Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, and Budarky of Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers are firmly holding their defense lines. The enemy launched an air strike in the Kislivka area. Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Synkivka, Kupiansk, and Kislivka of Kharkiv region were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, enemy airstrikes hit the area of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, as well as Spirne and Siversk, Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Lyman, Berestove, and Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, under heavy fire from Russian aircraft and artillery, Ukraine’s defenders successfully repelled the enemy's attacks in the Bohdanivka area of Donetsk region. The Russians carried out airstrikes in the areas of Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, Druzhba, Bila Hora, and Oleksandro-Shultyne. Over 10 settlements, including Vasyukivka, Bohdanivka, Stupochky, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pivnichne, and Pivdenne of Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy launched an airstrike. At the same time, artillery bombarded more than 15 settlements, including Keramik, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Semenivka in Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the areas of Marinka and Krasnohorivka. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, and Maksimilianivka in e Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarske direction, in the areas of Rivnopole in Donetsk region and Novodarivka in Zaporizhzhia region, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the positions lost earlier. They carried out airstrikes near Velyka Novosilka, Makarivka, and Rivnopole. More than 10 settlements were shelled, including Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, and Shakhtarske of Donetsk region.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson axes, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on preventing the further advance of Ukrainian troops. The Russians carried out airstrikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Orikhiv, and Pyatikhatka of Zaporizhzhia region. Their artillery shelled more than 20 settlements, including Vilne Pole and Vremivka of Donetsk region; Zaliznychne, Lobkove, and Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia region; Synelnikove and Nikopol of Dnipropetrovsk region; and Burhunka, Kherson Sadove, Berehove and Veletenske in Kherson region and Ochakiv of Mykolayiv region. At the same time, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, entrenching at their new positions as they advance, inflicting fire damage on enemy forces, and engaging in counter-battery fire.

According to the General Staff, Russian occupiers continue appropriate Ukrainian grain harvests. In the temporarily captured Skadovsk, Kherson region, the invaders intensified from July 10 the illegal exports of local grain to Russia by sea.

"Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Air Force carried out 12 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment clusters, and another three – on their anti-aircraft missile systems. Over the past 24 hours, rocket and artillery units hit an enemy command and control point, an anti-aircraft missile system, 16 artillery guns in firing positions, three ammunition depots, and three EW stations," the General Staff concluded.

As reported earlier, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, detonations continue at an ammunition depot located at the Starorkymsky training ground after a reported strike in the early hours of Wednesday.
