Medical aid situation in frontline cities of Luhansk region is critical - RMA
Artem Lysogor, the head of the Luhansk Regional Medical Association, told this on the Espresso TV channel, according to Ukrinform, citing the Luhansk Regional Medical Association.
"The situation is critical in Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, and Popasna. The occupation authorities are doing nothing at all in the settlements near the frontline. Neither electricity nor water supply is being restored, and there is a very big problem with medical care. If food sometimes appears at prices that are 3-4 times higher, only those people who either cooperated with the enemy or still work at some small enterprises can afford it," noted Lysogor.
He added that there are many pensioners left in the occupied territories who cannot receive emergency medical care because the enemy has completely destroyed the relevant infrastructure. The invaders adapted surviving facilities to military hospitals and brought in Russian doctors or personnel from the territories occupied since 2014.
According to the head of the region, local residents have to help each other on their own. In addition, access to medicines is difficult, so dealers have organized schemes to bring in drugs from Luhansk. However, now it is impossible to get to Rubizhne, Kreminna, and Lysychansk without a residence permit or a special pass that is issued in Luhansk for 30 days.
As reported, in the Luhansk region, Russian invaders are trying to minimize the movement of the population.
