War update: Ukraine’s Air Force 12 times strikes Russian positions in past day

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

Meanwhile, the enemy launched three missile and 50 air strikes, as well as 59 rocket salvos on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, a number of civilians were killed and wounded, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure facilities were destroyed.

The likelihood of Russia launching more missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

Over the past day, 30 combat clashes have taken place, the report reads.

On the Volyn and Polissia axes, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna axes, enemy mortars and artillery targeted over 40 settlements, including Khrinivka, Semenivka, Buchky, and Yasna Polyana of Chernihiv region; Znob-Novhorodske, Buniakyne, Volfyne, Stepok, and Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy region; and Chervona Zoria, Mali Prohody, Hatyshche, Varvarivka, Rublene, and Odradne in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled Russian attacks in the area north of Sinkivka and north-east of Ivanivka, Kharkiv region. More than 10 settlements, including Dvorichna, Masyutivka, Petropavlivka, Kucherivka, and Kislivka of Kharkiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, Russian airstrikes targeted the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Spirne and Vesele, Donetsk region. The settlements of Nevske and Bilohorivka of Luhansk region and Torske, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Rozdolivka of Donetsk region were hit by enemy artillery.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian soldiers are firmly holding their defense lines, successfully repulsing enemy attacks on the outskirts of Klishchiivka and northeast of Druzhba, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike in the Klishchiivka area. More than 15 settlements, including Malynivka, Markove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bila Hora and Pleshchiivka of Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy fire from the enemy's aviation and artillery, Ukraine’s forces successfully repelled Russian attacks in the Avdiivka area and southeast of Severne, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an airstrike at the Avdiyivka area. Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske came under Russian artillery fire.

In the Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the Marinka area. The enemy launched an airstrike in the Krasnohorivka region of Donetsk region. Krasnohorivka, Heorgiivka, Marinka, Paraskoviivka, and Novomykhailivka of Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

On the Shakhtarske axis, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the positions lost in the Staromayorske district of Donetsk region.

Russian airstrikes hit the areas of Blahodatne and Staromayorske of Donetsk region. Vuhledar, Odradne, Velyka Novosilka, Blahodatne, Storozheve, and Staromayorske of Donetsk region were subjected to artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area south of Novodanilivka. Over 20 settlements, including Temyrivka, Chervone, Bilohirya, Shcherbaky, Stepove, and Novooleksandrivka of Zaporizhzhya region, and Nikopol of Dnipropetrovsk region, were hit by Russian artillery.

On the Kherson axis, the enemy carried out an airstrike in the Kozatskyi district of Kherson region. More than 25 settlements, including Mykhailivka, Chervonyi Mayak, Olhivka, Prydniprovske, Berehove, and Stanislav of Kherson region and the city of Kherson, as well as Kutsurub and Ochakiv in Mykolaiv region, were hit by enemy artillery.

At the same time, Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdiansk directions, getting entrenched on the regained lines and engaging in counterbattery fire.

Over the past day, the Air Force has launched 10 airstrikes on enemy manpower and equipment clusters, one on an anti-aircraft missile complex, and one more on the Russian logistics hub.

Missile and artillery units struck three Russian command and control points, six artillery systems in firing positions, a manpower and equipment cluster, an ammunition depot, an electronic warfare system, and another “important facility.”
