Fisherman killed in enemy shelling of Nikopol
Yevhen Yevtushenko, the head of the Nikopol district administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Yesterday, the Russians killed another civilian resident of the Nikopol district. The man was seventy-one years old, he was not a military man and in no way threatened the occupiers on the opposite bank of the former reservoir," he wrote.
Rescuers found a man with a fishing rod in his hand and a bicycle next to him. Several shells fell near the fisherman, several more hit the old part of the city.
"When the occupants saw the man on the shore, they started artillery shelling," Yevtushenko wrote.
Earlier it was reported that the opposite side of the reservoir - Vasylivskyi district of Zaporizhzhia region - is currently occupied by the enemy.
