In occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, essential medicines distributed only to people with Russian passport
Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov posted this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"The occupiers have created a humanitarian catastrophe in the occupied territories. There is problem with medicines in the entire temporary occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region: there are no imported medicines or the price is unaffordable for people, some essential medicines for heart disease, stomach disease, hypertension are available only by prescription. To get them, you have to stand in a long line to see a doctor. It is impossible to visit a doctor without a Russian passport," the post reads.
According to Fedorov, the mandatory BCG and DPT vaccines are not supplied to the temporarily occupied territories, and children have to wait more than six months to be vaccinated against tuberculosis.
"The Russians are slowly killing our people in the temporarily occupied territories," stressed the Melitopol mayor.
As reported, Russian troops are holding more than 500 residents of the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol captive. There are cases when people are taken to the territory of Russia.
