Sullivan: Ukraine can expect announcements of new aid packages over coming weeks
He told this to journalists on the night into Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“Over the coming weeks, you can expect announcements of further deliveries of substantial capability to Ukraine,” said Sullivan.
He stressed that the recent arms packages have led to changes on the battlefield in Ukraine and improved the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, Sullivan emphasized that more is needed, especially air defense systems, artillery shells, and other weapons.
He also recalled that President Biden had authorized the use of U.S. weapons by Ukrainian forces against military targets inside Russia. In addition, Sullivan said that the United States, along with its allies and partners, will continue to work together to provide Ukraine with the necessary support and training for the Ukrainian military.
As reported by Ukrinform, the U.S. media reported that the U.S. is ready to provide Ukraine with a $50 billion loan, which will be repaid by profits from frozen Russian assets if the EU can indefinitely extend sanctions against Russian sovereign assets.
