Biden to meet with Zelensky in France and then in Italy – White House
White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told this to journalists, Ukrinform reports citing AFP.
According to him, during the events in France, Biden will meet with Zelensky "to talk about the state of play in Ukraine and how we can continue and deepen our support for Ukraine”.
Biden is also set to see Zelensky again at the meeting of the Group of Seven leading economies in Bari, Italy, from June 13-15, which will focus on using frozen Russian funds to support Ukraine, he said.
"So, in the course of a little more than a week, the president (Biden – ed.) will have two substantive engagements with President Zelensky," Sullivan said.
As Ukrinform reported, Joe Biden will not be able to attend the Global Peace Summit to be held in Switzerland on June 15. U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris will head the U.S. delegation. White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan will also participate in the summit.
