Russia’s Ministry of Defense once again spread a fake report on the alleged capture of two Ukrainian villages in Luhansk and Kharkiv regions.

That’s according to Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesman for the Khortytsia Grouping of Troops, who spoke in a comment to Ukrinform.

"Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense, in its regular update on the ‘victories’ of its troops on the territory of Ukraine, released a report claiming that the settlements of Artemivka and Tymkivka had been ‘liberated’ of Ukrainian units. However, the thing is that Russian propaganda once again proved weak and nonsensical. Moreover, such populated areas there are no such settlements in Ukraine... Miasozharivka was referred to as Artemivka in the report. It should be noted that this had been the name of the settlement until 2016," Voloshyn clarified. According to the official, Myasozharivka is currently controlled by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

"As for the capture of the village of Tymkivka in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, that village was liquidated back in 1987," the spokesman noted, adding that there are no Russians in that area either.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on Tuesday, the spokesman for the Khortytsia Grouping of Troops, Nazar Voloshyn, refuted Russia’s reports claiming that the village of Ivanivske in Donetsk region near Chasiv Yar was under Russia’s control.
