General Staff: 161 combat engagements on front lines in Ukraine in past day

On July 10, 161 combat engagements took place on the front lines in Ukraine.

This is said in a situation update by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

The Russian army launched four missile strikes using nine missiles and 56 air strikes using 68 guided aerial bombs at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. The enemy also carried out about 4,000 shelling attacks, including 116 MLRS attacks.

The Russian army carried out air strikes in the areas of Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Borshchove, Malі Prokhody and Hlyboke in еру Kharkiv region; Myrnohrad, Ocheretynу, Prohres, Zhelanne, Vovche, Kurakhove, Urozhaine, Makarivka, Storozhove, Druzhba, Toretsk, New York and Novyi Komar in the Donetsk region.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force, missile troops and artillery conducted 12 strikes on Russian concentration areas, destroying two artillery systems and one EW/radar station.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy continued its offensive. Nine combat engagements took place in the areas of Lyptsi and Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the number of attacks amounted to 10 over the day. The defense forces repelled all enemy assaults near Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Pishchane and Berestove.

In the Lyman sector, Russian troops attacked 14 times in the areas of Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske and Terny.

In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 assault attacks by Russian invaders near Verkhniokamianske, Bilohorivka, Spirne, Rozdolivka and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of Hryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske and Klishchiivka.

In the Toretsk sector, the Russian army conducted 24 attacks near Pivnichne, New York, Toretsk and Deliivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 42 assaults were repelled in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Prohres, Kalynove, Lozuvatske, Novoselivka Persha, Yurivka, Yevhenivka and Karlivka, where the invaders, supported with aircraft, attempted to dislodge Ukrainian units out of their positions. The largest number of enemy attacks was recorded near Novooleksandrivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 12 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Dalne, Nevske and Kostiantynivka, where the enemy tried to break through the defensive lines.

In the Vremivka sector, Russians made seven attacks in the areas of Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, Urozhayne and Makarivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders tried to advance in the area of Huliaipole but were unsuccessful.

In the Orikhiv sector, two combat clashes took place near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.

In the Dnipro River sector, Russians continue to try to drive Ukrainian Defense Forces units from their positions on footholds. The enemy carried out two unsuccessful attacks on the left bank of the Dnipro near Krynky.

The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remained unchanged. There have been no signs of enemy offensive groups forming.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russian army lost 1,110 troops and three air defense systems in Ukraine over the past day.
